I
was first introduced to a fundamental Baptist church when my parents enrolled me
into Maranatha Christian Academy in Glendale, Arizona, my seventh grade year.
Sometime during my eighth grade year, we became members of Maranatha Baptist
Church.
During these years, I heard the Gospel preached
over and over again. I began to realize that there was never a time in my
life when I repented of my sins and trusted in Christ alone to save me. I
put off God's conviction until June 28, 1995, when I accepted Christ at West
Branch Camp in Flagstaff, Arizona. I was then baptized several weeks
later.
Because of the faithful preaching of my pastor
and youth pastor, I began to grow in the Lord. God began to change my
desire to play baseball and basketball into a desire to serve the Lord in
full-time Christian service. In order to prepare for what God wanted for
my life, I attended Ambassador Baptist College where I graduated in 2003 with a
Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies.
While I was in college, I also met my wife, Leah.
God has blessed me with a wonderful wife who has a heart to serve the Lord.
In September of 2004, God blessed us with our first son, Kyle. In
January of 2006, God blessed us with a beautiful baby girl, Kaitlyn. Then,
in July of 2008, God blessed us with another beautiful baby girl, Cassidy.
After graduating from college, I worked a
full-time job while my wife finished her degree.
In August of 2004, Gethsemane Baptist Church in
Conyers, Georgia, called me to work on staff with the youth and music.
There is no greater joy than to know that you are in the perfect will of God for
your life!
